We have an exciting new opportunity to join Newbury college as a Student Development Coach where you will play a key role in delivering our high-impact Pastoral and Personal Development support programme. You’ll support students’ wellbeing, confidence and personal growth through engaging curriculum, 1:1 coaching and meaningful support.
In this role you will:
Provide 1:1 and group mentoring to support students’ personal, academic, and career goals.
Act as a safeguarding advocate, ensuring all concerns are reported in line with college policy.
Support Curriculum Managers in the implementation of the Positive Behaviour Management policy and by coaching and interventions to assist improvement.
Evaluate the impact of personal development activities and contribute to quality improvement plans.
Integrate the college’s ‘Super 7’ Quality criteria within the PPD programme
What you'll bring:
Relevant qualification in youth work, coaching, education, or counselling.
Experience delivering coaching or mentoring, personal development or enrichment programmes.
Recent experience of working in Colleges of Further Education or colleges including special needs /sixth forms for 16-19s for at least 1-2 years
An enthusiastic and aspirational individual with strong coaching skills, a good sense of humour, and the initiative to handle challenging situations with responsibility, adaptability, and common sense.
