Make a real difference every day. Join our team and help keep our students safe, supported, and able to thrive.

At Newbury College, we are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for every learner. We are now looking for a Safeguarding Administrator to join our dedicated Student Support team and play a vital role in ensuring the wellbeing of our students.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is organised, compassionate, and confident working with a range of people across the college. If you enjoy a role with purpose — where your attention to detail and communication skills genuinely change lives — we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting the Safeguarding Manager with the coordination and administration of safeguarding activity

• Keeping accurate, confidential records that help us identify and support vulnerable learners

• Liaising with curriculum teams, parents, carers, and external agencies

• Helping to coordinate welfare meetings and track interventions

• Monitoring attendance, behaviour, and safeguarding data to help identify students who may be at risk

• Playing an active role in promoting a safe, respectful, and inclusive college culture

What we’re looking for

📅  Strong organisational and administrative skills

🗣️ Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities

💻 Confidence using digital systems and maintaining accurate records

💡 A calm, professional approach and the ability to handle sensitive information

🙂 Someone who is motivated, flexible, and committed to supporting young people

Experience in safeguarding or education is helpful, but not essential — what matters most is your ability to stay organised, work collaboratively, and maintain a high standard of confidentiality and care.
