Health and Social Care Lecturer (Maternity Cover)

Hours: 18.5 hours per week / 52 weeks per year

Contract: Fixed term for 1 year

Working pattern: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday

Salary: £16,828 Actual / £33,656 FTE Pro Rata

We are excited to offer this opportunity for a dedicated and motivated Health and Social Care Lecturer to join our team.

In this role you will:

• Deliver high quality teaching across Health & Social Care programmes.

• Ensure programmes meet current validation and exam board requirements.

• Assess and/or verify student work, including workplace assessments.

• Maintain course files, verification records and student handbooks.

• Track student progress and maintain accurate assessment records.

• Support the development and implementation of new curriculum initiatives.

• Work with the Head of Department to timetable and room courses.

What you will bring to the role:

• Relevant qualification at least one level above the teaching level (minimum Level 3)

• Level 3 Education & Training Award

• Level 2 English and Maths

• Minimum 2 years’ teaching experience

• Experience working in an educational setting

• High achiever attitude

Essential criteria:

• Related qualification at 1 grade higher than teaching level (minimum level 3)

• L3 Education & Training Award

• L2 English and Maths

• Assessor and Interval Verifier Qualifications

• 2 years teaching experience

• Experience of working in an educational setting
