We are looking for a dedicated Foundation Learning Tutor to join our High Needs department—an area of the college where compassion, innovation and high aspirations come together to transform lives.

About the role:

As a Foundation Learning Tutor, you will play a central role in planning, preparing and delivering a purposeful and aspirational curriculum for learners with profound to moderate learning disabilities and behavioural support needs. Working with students from Pre‑Entry to Level 1, you will create learning experiences that build confidence, independence and essential skills.

You will collaborate closely with a committed team of tutors and support staff to ensure our programmes are engaging, inclusive and aligned with current SEN developments. You’ll also take the lead on Education, Health and Care (EHC) reviews for your caseload, ensuring each learner’s journey is personalised, well‑supported and celebrated.

We are looking for someone who is:

• 🎓 A related degree or qualification at least one level above what you will teach

• 🧠English and Maths at Level 2

• 🧩  Experience teaching or supporting learners with profound to moderate learning difficulties and behavioural needs

• 📚 Strong administrative and organisational skills

• 🤝Ability to differentiate effectively and work confidently with EHC Plans

•🌱 Has a positive, flexible and compassionate approach
