Are you passionate about supporting the next generation of electrical professionals through their apprenticeship journey?

We are excited to offer this opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Electrical Installation Development Coach to join our team.

About the role:

As an Electrical Installation Development Coach, you will support apprentices as they work towards achieving their electrical installation qualifications. Instead of classroom teaching, your role focuses on guiding learners through their apprenticeship journey, helping them develop the practical skills, behaviours, and knowledge required for a successful career in the electrical industry.

Using your electrical installation experience, you will help learners understand industry standard tools, materials, and techniques used within modern building projects. You will reinforce core construction principles, including health and safety practices and the technical requirements of electrical installation within the wider construction environment.

You will work closely with learners throughout their programme, providing support, reviewing their evidence, and helping them stay on track. This may include visiting learners in the workplace, helping them apply their skills in real world settings, and ensuring they meet the requirements of the apprenticeship standard. Your guidance will help them progress confidently towards completion and prepare them for employment within the electrical installation sector.

We are looking for someone who is:

• 🔧 Practical, organised, and able to manage their own workload effectively.

• 🤝 Comfortable building good working relationships with apprentices and employers.

• 🗣️ Able to communicate clearly, give honest feedback, and support apprentices to stay on track.

• 🚗 Confident working independently, visiting learners in the workplace, and keeping accurate records.

• 📋 Professional, reliable, and able to maintain high standards in assessment and compliance.

Your key duties:

• Coach and support apprentices throughout their electrical installation apprenticeship.

• Review and assess apprentice work against qualification standards.

• Support learners in developing practical skills in the workplace.

• Promote safe working practices and health & safety requirements.

• Monitor learner progress, set action plans, and provide constructive feedback.

• Conduct workplace visits to observe skills in real environments.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation.

• Work with employers to ensure apprentices gain the right experience.

• Prepare learners for end point assessment and successful completion.
