Electrical and Electronic Engineering Lecturer

Hours: 37 hours per week / 52 weeks per year

University Centre Newbury is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Electrical and Electronic Engineering Lecturer to join our Higher Education team. This exciting role is ideal for someone who thrives on sharing their expertise and supporting students in developing the skills and confidence needed for a successful career in engineering. You’ll be delivering engaging teaching, supporting learners through their academic journey, and helping shape the future of the industry.

Your key duties and responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective teaching programmes to students.

• Ensure all programmes meet current validation, exam board, and university requirements, and keeping teaching staff informed of any updates.

• Assess and/or verify student work both on-site and at work placements.

• Support the development and implementation of new initiatives.

What we are looking for:

• A relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification in electrical/electronic engineering.

• Teaching experience in further or higher education (or a strong desire to develop in this area).

• Up-to-date industry knowledge and a commitment to continuous professional development.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

• A student-focused approach, with the ability to adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs.

• A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance.
