Newbury College is looking for a proactive, organised, and handsâon Catering Technician to join our vibrant Catering and Hospitality team. If you thrive in a fastâpaced environment, enjoy supporting others, and take pride in maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact on studentsâ learning experiences.
Youâll play a key role in keeping our teaching kitchens and commercial areas running smoothly. Your days will be varied and practical, including:
⢠Supporting lecturers with the dayâtoâday organisation and maintenance of catering spaces
⢠Helping set up and close down practical classes
⢠Managing deliveries, checking stock, and ensuring accurate storage
⢠Keeping essential records such as fridge temperature logs in line with environmental health requirements
⢠Carrying out laundry duties and assisting with equipment maintenance
⢠Reporting and following up on any faulty equipment
⢠Supporting stock control of nonâfood items
⢠Assisting in our commercial kitchen and service areas when needed
⢠Ensuring all activity complies with HACCP, COSHH, and wider college policies including Health & Safety and Safeguarding
This role is essential to ensuring our students learn in a safe, professional, and inspiring environment.
