We are excited to offer this opportunity for a proactive and organised Health & Safety Assistant to join our team!
This role will support the day-to-day administration and monitoring of the College's health and safety arrangements, helping to ensure a safe, compliant and positive environment for staff, students and visitors.
About the role:
As our Health & Safety Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day administration and monitoring of health and safety across the College. Working closely with the Operations Manager and Facilities Coordinator, you will help maintain records, monitor compliance activities, coordinate training and support a wide range of health and safety processes that contribute to a safe and positive environment for everyone.
This is a varied and rewarding role that combines administration, organisation and practical support. You will assist with risk assessments, first aid arrangements, audits, inspections, incidents and compliance monitoring, while liaising with departments across the College to ensure health and safety requirements are met. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented and confident communicating with a range of stakeholders, with a genuine interest in promoting a positive health and safety culture.

Criteria:
Essential criteria:
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel
• Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders
• Experience of working with data and maintaining accurate records
Desirable criteria:
• Health & Safety qualification
• Experience of organising meetings and coordinating activities
• Previous experience in an educational environment
• Health & Safety administration or compliance experience
