Step Into FE is a supportive transition programme designed for learners who have been out of education for a period of time, including those with experience of home schooling, or who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) or Special Educational Needs (SEN). The programme focuses on rebuilding confidence, developing essential study skills, and preparing learners for success in further education. • 🌱 Provide pastoral support and act as a positive role model for learners
• 🤝 Work collaboratively with Learning Support Assistants, pastoral teams, and external agencies
• 📝 Contribute to curriculum development, including inclusive resources and schemes of work
• 📚 Lead on course organisation, assessment, and compliance with awarding body requirements
We are looking for someone who has:
• A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject (or higher than the level you teach)
• A teaching qualification (PGCE/QTS) or willingness to work towards this
