Tutor and Assessor – BMS/Building Services Engineer
Hours: 22.2 Hours per Week / 52 Weeks per year

We are looking for an experienced and passionate BMS/Building Services Engineer Lecturer and assessor to join our Team at Newbury College. You will ensure that learners receive an outstanding journey by assessing knowledge, skills and behaviours and preparing learners for assessments. You will
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons to students
• Manage a caseload of apprentices, deliver the knowledge elements and off the job training, liaise with their employers to ensure all elements are completed to pass their Apprenticeship Standard.
• Develop the delivery structure and training plans for the apprenticeship.
• Carry out regular meetings with apprentices and their employers and keep the e-portfolio updated with progress.

Criteria
Essential criteria:
• Level 4 qualification or equivalent specific industry qualifications in subject area
• Assessor qualifications or able to demonstrate that you are willing to work towards these.
• Professional competence in the area you are assessing, which typically will have been gained
Desirable criteria:
• A Degree, Higher education Qualification, or professional qualification
• Level 3 or above teaching qualification
• IQA Qualification
